Registration

What proofs do I need for registration?
You need a proof of age:  Birth Certificate
You need proof of residency:
You can either fill out the School Enrollment Form which is only required ONCE during a participant's career, unless school enrollment change.  Form is here.
OR
You can provide 3 proof of residency documents every year.  More details here.

Can I register online?
Yes.  You can register, pay, and upload your proofs online using blue sombrero which is provided by Dick's Sporting Goods.

Can my child move up a program/division?
Your child will need to come to skills day and be evaluated.  Based on skills day your child may be moved up if desired. 

Can my child play in the minor division if he/she has played Teeball?
Your child will need to come to skills day and be evaluated.  Based on skills day your child may be moved up if desired. 

Is my residence within league boundaries?
See map below (boundary lines are approximations).

2018 New Baseball Bat Standards

Does this apply to Softball?
No

Does this apply to Teeball?
Yes.  24", 25", 26" bats need to have the sticker below applied to them.  You can use your bats from last year as long as they are <= 26".  BCLL will be purchasing and providing stickers to Teeball teams.  Any bats over 26" will need to be new for this teeball season.  For more information see the FAQs on little league.org.

Does this apply to Baseball?
Yes.  All baseball bats will need to be purchased new this season.  Baseball bats will need this sticker.  For more information see the FAQs on little league.org.

Skills Day

Where is skills day?
Memorial Hall on JMU Campus (the old Harrisonburg High School)

What do I need for skills day?
Bring a bat, helmet, glove, and tennis shoes.  NO CLEATS!

When is skills day?
Skills day is on 2/17.  Make up skills day will be on 2/20.

2/17 Baseball Skills Schedule
Major 10:00am to 11:30am
Minor (last name A-J) 11:30am to 12:30pm
Minor (last name K-Z) 12:30pm to 1:30pm
Farm (last name A-K) 1:30pm to 2:45pm
Farm (last name L-Z) 2:45pm to 4:00pm
2/17 Softball Skills Schedule
Major 12:00pm to 1:00pm
Minor 1:00pm to 2:30pm
Farm 2:30pm to 4:00pm

 

Dicks Sports Day

Dear Bridgewater Little League Participants, Families, & Coaches,

On Sunday, February 25th from 10:00am - 4:00pm the Harrisonburg, Valley Mall, Dick’s Sporting Goods store location will be hosting its annual appreciation discount day to assist families and players with preparing for their upcoming baseball/softball season.

Any Bridgewater Little League participant can bring in the attached appreciation day flyer to receive 20% off your purchase (some exclusions apply) on Sunday, February 25th.  This is a great opportunity to not only get your new bat and other baseball gear but to also take care of any other purchasing needs you may have.   

If you are unable to make it to the appreciation day event please remember that you can click this link - Bridgewater Little League 2018 DSG Baseball Coupon - to print out your baseball/softball team sports coupon sheet, which is good for discounts off your baseball/softball purchases (as listed on the coupon) all season long.  You will not be able to use the baseball/softball coupon in addition to the appreciation day coupon on the appreciation day. 

Bridgewater Little League families should print off the attached appreciation day flyer and bring it with them to the Harrisonburg, Valley Mall, Dick’s Sporting Goods store on Sunday, February 25th in order to take advantage of the 20% off. 

You can also stop by the Bridgewater Little League table to register to win bonus certificates from Dick’s Sporting Goods and other prizes!

Coaches Clinic

When is it?
The coaches clinic will be on 3/10 from 1pm - 3pm

Where/what is it?
TAHS.  Ray Heatwole field if weather permits.  Otherwise, TAHS gym.

Andrew Armstrong, Preston Miller, and Justin Showalter along with some TA players will be running stations.  There will be 5 stations:

  1. Pitching
  2. Defense
  3. Offense
  4. Field Maintenance
  5. Safety

The coaches attendance will be recorded and equipment will be made available after completion.
